Navigating the days ahead…
Three “100-year floods” in two years. The last two back to back, each worse than the one before. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around it alongside our community, all while digging our way out at the same time.
Our rebuilding efforts will begin close to home—taking care of our ROOT team, cleaning up and restoring the areas around our businesses, and keeping these places standing through an especially hard season. These are our people and the places we’ve poured our lives into. Your support will help us find our footing.
And as we do, we want to keep extending that support beyond our own doors to neighbors and families facing an even harder road.
For the last five years, we’ve committed 1% of ROOT’s top-line revenue to our nonprofit, JoyCrow, which has given more than $200,000 back to the community. Root House gives through its sales of Root For Each Other merch. We want to keep showing up in that way. Especially now.
Asking for help is a little harder than offering it. But here we are, grateful for a community that keeps showing up for us, too.
